1961 CADILLAC
SERIES 62 COUPE!
"The '61s were the cleanest Cadillacs in years. They were also the first influenced by William L. Mitchell, who had been installed as GM design chief in 1958. Mitchell favored a more chiseled look than his predecessor, Harley Earl, and wasn't as enamored of chrome. Grilles became a prominent grid, while fins were trimmed again."
This example is a stunning combination of original, with some modern safety and cosmetic improvements. According to the previous owner, this Classic Cadillac came from Texas and had been in storage since the mid 80's. The owner purchased the car in 2001 and began the upgrades. The car was repainted, the engine received numerous mechanical improvements, the suspension was upgraded and rebuilt, the brakes were upgraded to four wheel discs. and the transmission was completely rebuilt. We don't know everything that was done, but we do know this car rides and handles terrific! The 390 V-8 engine fires to life instantly and runs so smooth at idle you can barley feel it running! The paint is beautiful and probably looks better than when it was new! The exterior chrome and trim are in great original condition and the undercarriage is solid, clean and dry, with no issues. The custom interior has been redone with new seats, carpeting, dash pad, headliner and package shelf. Very nicely equipped, with the following features;

All in all, this is awesome Cadillac Coupe and runs so good, I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere!
Please remember that this car is 47 years old and not perfect. The paint has a few very minor imperfections to small to see in the photos and the clock works on and off.
